Dominique/Damian Toya - Desert Museum Store
Damian was born in the early 1970's and has been potting since the age of five learning from the best: his mother Maxine Toya, his aunt Laura Gachupin and Grandmother Marie G. Romero, all award winners. He has signed his pots with Damian, Dominique at different times over his career, but in all cases following the name is a corn sign, denoting his clan affiliation. He is probably the best new potter coming from Jemez today with his swirled ribbed pieces elegant, contemporary and awe inspiring!
