Dennis Hogan has a degree
in economics and studio art and worked in advertising and financial
planning after leaving college. However, his passion for the western
spirit and his continued interest in fine art motivated him to leave
his career in business and move to Abiquiu, New Mexico to pursue his
artist’s dream. He began by braiding leather bolo ties and working
as an apprentice for three years to his good friend Charlie Favour.
In 2000, he moved to Santa Fe and began selling and creating his own
leather and jewelry designs. He considers himself lucky to be
an artist and is most grateful to his family who has always supported
his artistic journey.
Dennis’ jewelry is made of hand-braided leather and accented with beautiful pieces of hand-cut natural American turquoise stones. As an added touch to his necklaces, Dennis backs the turquoise with leather, making each piece unique.
