Tina Garcia was a sister of Greg Garcia and granddaughter of Severa Tafoya.  She was renowned for her recreation of classic Santa Clara forms.  Her vessels are thin walled and highly polished.  It is the balance of form and the simplicity of design which was definitely a hallmark of her pottery.  The entire piece is fully polished and traditionally fired.  Tina won numerous awards for her pottery at Santa Fe Indian Market and the Heard Market, and her work can be found in museums around the county.
