Badger Fetish: Gabriel Sice

This fantastic badger, which stands very low to the ground, is set with two turquoise eyes. The surface of the animal is carved in a way that gives the illusion of hair. The badger is often associated with the direction South (red), and many people tell us badgers have healing power because they dig in the earth for roots and herbs used by shamans and native healers. Gabe Sice is a member of the Haloo family and carves a lot in antler. (JH)
