Basket Boutique Adult T-Shirt: Clay

Archaeologists of the American Southwest date the practice of basket-making to at least 8000 years ago. This lovely top by Tucson artist, Nancy Lenches, grasps the Native American flavor of the Southwest with subtle hues in three designs of baskets. There are two baskets on the front: one the traditional Navajo wedding basket and the other (behind) a Pima Indian design. The back of the shirt has a basket with a complex woven design reminiscent of Southern Arizona’s Tohono O'odham people; tiny petroglyphs designs march up toward the mid back. Each piece of Sabaku clothing is individually garment-dyed to achieve its rich color and softness. Subtle shading differences are inherent in this process and are to be expected. *Also available in a midnight three-quarter sleeve variation.
