Dominique/Damian Toya learned to pot from the best: he comes from a long line of talented artists including his aunt, Laura Gachupin, his mother, Maxine Toya, and his grandmother, Maria Gachupin Romero. He won BEST OF CLASS at Santa Fe Indian Market in 2009. This elegant melon vase, built with natural micaceous clay, is one of the best examples of his work we have seen with movement brought about by the deep-cut swirls that rotate from base to rim. This vase leaves us speechless. It sparkles.
