Gladys Paquin: Traditional Brown and Tan-on-White Laguna Jar

This jar, by Laguna potter Gladys Paquin, is striking with contrasting colors of dark brown and tan-on-white. This pot radiates from every visual angle. Not only is this a difficult piece to acquire, but the designs give one the feeling of an 18th century jar reminiscent of early Laguna polychromes. Gladys is simply the best, which makes this stunning jar highly collectible. On the bottom, beside the name “g. paquin-snz,” is “yr '08,” “Laguna” and “SRATyu'we.” This jar is a wonderful piece in which to invest. It is certainly one of our favorites.
