Kangaroo Rat

The kangaroo rat (Dipodomys deserti) is an amazing creature. It stores its food in pockets far back in its cheeks and never has to drink water! They get all the water they need from the foods they eat. This plush desert kangaroo rat is enormous compared to the real thing, but equally as darling. (KY)
