Morenci Malachite Earrings

Triangular shaped stones set in scalloped bezels of sterling silver. 

Chrysocolla is a hard green-blue mineral with similar chemical formula to turquoise.  Malachite is a copper ore.  Both stones are located in the same areas that turquoise is found, and cut and polished for jewelry like turquoise. 

These earrings are fashioned from mixed stones of malachite and chrysocolla from the famed Morenci Copper Mine in Greenlee County in Arizona.  The stones used in this pair of earrings were privately owned and recently cut, polished, and set for our exclusive sale.
